Camera Lense

A Glimpse Into the Past

Item # BS004

$250

This camera lens dates back to the early 1900's.  It was found by Michele Judge at a market on the streets of Mexico City and pleasantly surprised her to find that the shutter still works after all these years!  The frame work constructed around this piece, made of copper and bronze, is hand formed to give this instrument a new life as the belt buckle you see here. If you look closely there is a hidden treasure inside the lens.  A picture of the very men that built the American railroad, taken around the same time period that this camera was made, can be seen when the shutter is opened.  All the dials and knobs on this piece still work making this the unique treasure it is and has always been!  Who owned this camera in the past?  What kind of pictures went through this lens throughout the century?  If only this piece could talk!
