Art Club
Sticksnstones Art Club
We believe creating is a part of what makes humans unique to this world. Learning and creating is the fuel that powers our spirits and the light that gives us insight.
Having a sense of belonging is key to a happy healthy life and crucial for the ideal development of a healthy child.
Being a part of this collaborative art making experience offers both.
Art Director/Mentor
As you know, Ms. Meesha enjoys teaching art to Cloud 9 students and has been working with them since their first year. Previously, she has worked as a professional metals & sculptural artist in Philadelphia and taught private classes in her studio for 12 yrs. Currently building her off grid homestead, she works in a wide variety of materials she is excited to share with her young artist students.

Artistic Bonds
Members of our art club will gain a sense of belonging as we develop our own unique style, solely made possible by every member’s participation. Each member is like a different color on a palette. The colors side by side create a unique feel as a whole. Without one color, the feeling of the whole palette changes.
2025
Our sculpture projects were accompanied by an original theatrical performance that was created during the one week intensive by the members. Participants will learned how to plan and prepare their vision for execution. They had the opportunity to gain knowledge by working with a variety of materials to realize their vision. Members explored these materials and techniques in both individual creations and collaborative endeavors. Some projects were built to stay on site and be used in future projects, while others were able to be taken home. In all cases, the knowledge will be with them forever.
Long-term Goals
The long term goal for the art club is to build our skills and create our style, mission, and artistic statement as a group. This will happen slowly and organically over the years and as our students grow artistically as well as physically, we will be able to continue to expand the possibilities of creation using more advanced tools. The exercises we do in the club will continue to be examples of how one person (or a group) can take something that exists only in the imagination and bring it to fruition. This often creates a feedback loop as we experience the joy and fulfillment that comes with making our dreams become a reality.
